Trials of a King

December 10, 2017 Speaker: Mark Bjorlo Series: The Story

Topic: Overcoming Sin Scripture: 2 Samuel 7:11–11:27, Psalm 51:1–51:17, Psalm 32:5, Proverbs 28:13

King David not only confesses his sin; he confesses God’s power to overcome his sin. This is an important part of confession. God’s strength is strongest, when you are at your weakest. David covered up his sin but he knew there was only one who could cover his sin.

And so in his brokenness David would write: My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise. Psalm 51:17
