When did your journey with God begin? Was it years ago - or just today? How big of a part has God played in your life? Have you ever wished there was more?
Whether you want to recapture a time in your life when you were constantly amazed by the truest things, or simply want to test the waters by experiencing God in your life for the first time, The Journey North Community Church is ready to welcome you.
Before the Service:
Choose a service time:
The Journey North offers a Saturday Night Service at 6:00 p.m and three services each Sunday at Franklin Art Center, 8:30, 9:45 and 11:15 am.
Check in your children:
Our weekend kids program is the perfect place for children from birth to grade 5. The staff and volunteers create a safe, fun atmosphere in which children can learn Bible stories and participate in age-appropriate learning. There is a kids table just outside the auditorium. Just ask a host or volunteer, and they will direct you.
Get settled:
At The Journey North Community Church, you'll notice a casual atmosphere, and people of all ages and walks of life. A host will give you a program, which includes a study guide for deeper study and a note-taking sheet for the message.
During the Service
Worship:
This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts. Our worship team will lead us in upbeat, contemporary songs of celebration, as well as more intimate songs of worship. Many of the songs may be familiar to you if you listen to local Christian radio. Everyone worships in his or her own unique way – for many, that means raising hands, singing and clapping along, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words.
Offering:
Each week The Journey North's regular attenders make an offering. As a guest, there is no need for you to give. This is an act of worship for our regular attenders, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work He is doing in their lives. It also gives The Journey North the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.
Message:
Every weekend, one of our pastors gives a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture, and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life. Many past messages are available online. These messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ, and apply biblical teaching to your own life.
Communion:
The first weekend of every month we celebrate communion together. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long they've made the decision to follow Jesus Christ. The juice and bread that we share represent the life he gave up so that our sins could be forgiven. Following communion it is our practice to receive a benevolent offering for those in our community that are in need.
Kids Programming:
After the worship, the kids are dismissed to listen and learn to their own dynamic interactive message, learning principles that can be lived out all week long. Children are divided into classrooms with age-appropriate teachings and activities, discussing topics that will help them build a solid foundation and strong relationship with God.
